The deadly wreck occurred around 10:15 p.m. on Holden Avenue near South Orange Blossom Trail just outside Orlando.
According to a crash report, the man was walking along Holden Avenue when he went into the westbound lanes. The front left of an oncoming vehicle struck the man, who was taken to the hospital and was later pronounced dead.
The man was not in a marked crosswalk, according to FHP.
Troopers said they later located the suspect vehicle, described as a 2012 white Toyota Sienna with front-left headlight damage.
At Georges’ first appearance in court Saturday, a judge found probable cause to hold him on no bond regarding the charge of leaving the scene of a crash involving death. He’s due back in court on May 23 for a pretrial detention motion hearing.
