SR-408 reopens in east Orange County after deputies swarm area

Incident involved suicidal person, officials say

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – Numerous law enforcement officers blocked State Road 408 in east Orange County early Friday as deputies responded to a “suicidal subject.”

S.R. 408 west was blocked from Colonial Drive to Rouse Road, but the roadway was reopened around 6:30 a.m.

“The incident has been resolved. No one is hurt,” the Orange County Sheriff’s Office said.

No other details about the incident have been released.

Before the situation was resolved, Trooper Steve described the scene.

“Orange County (deputies) have a huge perimeter set up,” he said.

Video from the scene showed several deputy patrol vehicles in a line blocking S.R. 408.
