St. Cloud police divert traffic around flooded intersections

Police urged drivers to avoid flooded roadways

ST. CLOUD, Fla. – St. Cloud police announced that they diverted traffic around local intersections on Monday evening after rain passed through the area.

In a release, police said they diverted traffic around the intersections of 13th Street and Connecticut Avenue; and 15th Street and Vermont Avenue.

Police added that the diversions were in response to standing water in the roadway, which were a byproduct of the rainy weather.

“As a reminder, never drive through roadways covered by water,” the release reads. “#TurnAroundDontDrown”
