BREVARD COUNTY, Fla. – One person died and another was seriously injured in a crash Monday morning on Interstate 95 in Brevard County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The crash happened just after 9 a.m. in the northbound lanes near mile marker 228 in Mims.
Troopers said the crash involved a semitruck with trailer and a CMTI truck.
The semi driver, a 63-year-old Orlando man, was uninjured.

The CMTI truck driver was pronounced dead at the scene and a passenger was airlifted to a hospital with serious injuries, according to FHP.
Northbound lanes are blocked and traffic is being diverted at State Road 46. From there, drivers can head east on SR-46, turn left onto northbound U.S. 1 and turn left onto westbound Deering Parkway before reaching the I-95 interchange.
Troopers said drivers should prepare for traffic delays.
An investigation is ongoing.
