VOLUSIA COUNTY, Fla. – A crash with injuries between a pickup truck and two semitrucks temporarily closed the eastbound lanes of Interstate 4 closed in Volusia County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol and Florida 511.
Troopers said the crash was reported at mile marker 109 in the Deltona area, causing a six-mile traffic backup.

According to a crash report, a Ford F-150 was traveling east on I-4 at mile marker 109. At the same time, a Freightliner semitruck was stopped on the shoulder.
In addition, a Volvo semitruck was also traveling east on I-4 at mile marker 109.

Troopers said the driver of the pickup truck lost control and ran off of the roadway right, which caused the vehicle to collide with the parked semitruck.
According to the report, that impact caused the pickup truck to spin and collide with the Volvo semitruck.
The pickup truck driver was transported to HCA Lake Monroe Hospital in critical condition.
As of 7:38 p.m., traffic cameras showed traffic moving normally in both directions of the interstate.
The crash remains under investigation.
