TRAFFIC ALERT: All lanes blocked on SR-408 due to brush fire in Orange County Fire contained near UCF

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – A brush fire has forced the closure of all lanes on State Road 408 near the University of Central Florida, the Florida Highway Patrol said.
Firefighters are working to extinguish the fire adjacent to State Road 408 near Colonial Drive. The westbound on-ramp to SR-408 from westbound SR-50 is also shut down.
Traffic is being rerouted at SR-50 to manage the closures and keep vehicles away from the affected area, troopers said. Drivers are advised to avoid the area and seek alternate routes until the fire is under control and the roadways reopen.
