SUMTER COUNTY, Fla. – A 24-year-old Bushnell man died after a single-vehicle crash early Saturday in Sumter County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The crash occurred around 2:45 a.m. at the intersection of county roads 575 and 48, troopers said.
According to a preliminary crash report, the man was driving a Hyundai Elantra northbound on C.R. 575 when, after continuing through the intersection, the vehicle entered the north shoulder and struck a tree.
The driver was taken to a hospital and later died from injuries he suffered in the crash, troopers said.
