Near record cold across Central Florida

Starting off in the 30s with freeze warnings Sunday

ORLANDO, Fla. – After a strong cold front moved through Central Florida Saturday, temperatures are near records.

There have been wind chill advisories in effect across all of Central Florida as temperatures dropped into the 30s and 40s, feeling more like the 20s at times.

Freeze warnings have been in effect for Marion, Sumter and Flagler counties.

A freeze warning means temperatures have dropped close to if not at freezing for several hours.

The average high across Central Florida is in the upper 70s. Expect temperatures today only to reach the upper 60s.

In Orlando, we will reach a high temperature of 67°. We can expect lots of sunshine for the next couple of days with temperatures gradually warming back into the mid 70s by Monday.

We are in the low 80s for Tuesday through Thursday.

Expect rain chances to increase with a new boundary for Tuesday and for Wednesday.

By Thursday (which is St. Patrick’s Day), we will be dry and sunny with temperatures near 80°.

Temperatures will be in the mid 80s for Friday and next Saturday with only low rain chances at 20%.
