MELBOURNE, Fla. – Melbourne has recorded 3.05 inches of rain so far on Friday, setting a new daily rainfall record for October 10.
The previous record of 2.09 inches was set in 2015. Additional rain is expected through Friday evening.

A flash flood warning remains in effect for Brevard County until 4:15 p.m. Friday, following heavy rainfall earlier in the day that prompted flooding concerns across the area.
