ORLANDO, Fla. – Monday
Available moisture in our atmosphere will be limited on Monday with drier air hovering around the state. This will bring rain chances down to isolated-spotty storm coverage in the afternoon along our westerly winds. A few isolated showers will develop just after lunchtime around I-4 and areas west of. Rain chances slowly push east towards the 95 corridor mid-late afternoon. Highs will hit the mid 90s thanks to our westerly winds with heat indices ranging 100-105ÂşF.
Mid-Week
A ridge of high pressure in the mid levels of the atmosphere will begin to shift westward towards Florida. We will remain on the periphery of this ridge for the second half of the week. This ridge will help to grab moisture to our south and funnel it into Florida. Thus, rain chances will gradually increase for the second half of the week and into the upcoming weekend. High temperatures will remain above average all week as we climb into the mid 90s through Thursday. Higher storm and cloud coverage Friday and into the weekend will lower highs into the low 90s.
