ORLANDO, Fla. – On Thursday, ahead of Hurricane Milton over 100 tornado warnings were issued to the state of Florida. According to the NWS 126 tornado warnings were issued on Thursday by NWS offices in Florida.
This is record-breaking for the state of Florida. Additionally, it represents the second-highest number of tornado warnings ever issued in the United States within a single calendar day, surpassed only by the notorious 2011 Super Outbreak that impacted Alabama.
