ORLANDO, Fla. – Heavy rain and hurricane force wind gusts will continue through Thursday morning.
Unlike most hurricanes that Central Florida experiences, some of the strongest winds will come on the back end, northwest side of the center during the pre-dawn hours.
By sunrise, most of the heavy rain will shut off with the exception of the Atlantic coast.
Coastal Brevard, Volusia and Flagler counties will continue to experience hurricane force wind gusts through about noon Thursday.
It will remain gusty in Central Florida through the day, but the winds will gradually come down through Thursday evening.
The weather improves significantly Friday.
