Wednesday, June 8 to Sunday, June 12: The Vietnam Traveling Memorial Wall at Reiter Park, 311 Warren Avenue, Longwood. The Vietnam Traveling Memorial Wall is a 3/5 scale replica of the Vietnam Memorial Wall in Washington, DC. Free. Closing ceremony held Sunday at 2 p.m. More info.
Friday, June 10 and Sunday, June 12: Silver Spurs Rodeo at Osceola Heritage Park, 1875 Silver Spurs Lane, Kissimmee. 7:30 p.m. – 10:30 p.m. The Silver Spurs Rodeo will include traditional rodeo events including bull riding, bareback bronc riding, saddle bronc riding, tie-down roping, barrel racing, steer wrestling and team roping. To keep our rodeo’s traditions, there will be the calf scramble for the children to participate in during the rodeo. More info.
Saturday, June 11: Rum Fest 12 at Wall Street Plaza, Downtown Orlando. Unlimited rum sampling, live reggae music, Bob Marley. 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tickets: $20 in advance, $25 day of. More info.
Saturday, June 11: NSB Sand Art Festival at Flagler Avenue Beach Approach, 518 Flagler Ave, New Smyrna Beach. 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Amateur teams will consist of families, friends, co-workers and community groups. All competitors will create their own sand sculptures in 10' X 10' plots of cordoned beach. Prizes will be awarded for individual adult, child and team categories and will be judged by both professionals and local celebrity judges. Free. More info.
Saturday: June 11: Taste of the Caribbean and Jerk Festival at Clermont Waterfront Park, 100 Third Street, Clermont. $10 adults, children 10 and under: $3. Jerk cook-off competition, dominoes, food and craft vendors, live music from around the Caribbean: reggae, Latin, soca, calypso and more. More info.
Sunday, June 12: Yoga in the Galleries at Orlando Museum of Art, 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. Guests: $10 Museum members: $8. Space for 60 attendees. More info.
