New therapy trend: Adult wrapping

Japanese use therapy to help with posture, stiffness

TOKYO – Swaddling a baby is a skill most new parents learn early, but now some adults are being swaddled themselves as a form of therapy.

"Adult wrapping" is gaining traction, especially among post-natal women as a way to help with posture and stiffness.

At a recent session in Tokyo dedicated to new moms, women took turns tying each other in large cloths from head to toe.

Many participants described the feeling as a warm embrace.
