Erivedge is a pill you take once a day, that can help people with basal cell carcinoma (BCC), which is the most common form of skin cancer.

Doctors say the drug can shrink tumors.

The government approved it for patients who can't be treated with surgery or radiation. It can also be used if the disease has spread to other parts of the body.

The FDA says the drug will be available within two weeks.
