SANFORD, Fla. – Lockdowns at two Sanford elementary schools have been lifted after authorities conducted a search nearby.
Midway Elementary School, at 2368 Brisson Ave., and Hamilton Elementary School, at 1501 E. 8th St. were locked down Thursday morning while Seminole County sheriff's deputies conducted the search.

Deputies had requested the lockdowns but did not provide details about the search.
