Orlando Predators Managing Partner Brett Bouchy announced that Head Coach Bret Munsey has been released from the team, and that an extensive search for his replacement will commence immediately.
"The Orlando Predators have a long and storied history as a winner in the Arena Football League," says Bouchy. "Going forward, we are committed to continuing that winning tradition, and will do everything we can to find a coach who will make that happen."

A Winter Park native who took the Philadelphia Soul to the ArenaBowl Championship in 2008, Munsey was named the Predators' head coach in August 2011; he had also served as the team's secondary coach and director of player personnel from 2003-05. The Predators registered a 4-14 record for the 2012 season, marking the first time the team failed to make the playoffs since 1992.
"Bret will always be a valued member of our organization, but a losing season is not acceptable to our fans, and it is not acceptable to our management team," says Bouchy. "We will not be satisfied until the Predators bring home another ArenaBowl championship."
Orlando's Arena Football League franchise since 1991, the Orlando Predators are currently in their 21st year in the AFL. In that time, the Predators have advanced to the AFL Playoffs a league-leading 19 consecutive seasons and appeared in the Arena Bowl seven times, winning AFL Championships in 1998 and 2000.
