ORLANDO, Fla. – As holiday shoppers kick into gear, one local store is reminding people not to forget about their pets presents this year.
Woof Gang Bakery sees sales jump about 20 percent daily during the holiday season, especially with its fresh treats baked on site.
"The main people, normally the people who don't have children who just have dogs, these are the people who normally go all out and think outside the box," said store owner Kay Hodgson. "I know I used to always love getting gifts for my dogs. I"d say, 'don't worry about me, just get something for my dogs.'"
Toys are also hot sellers, along with Swarovski collars, which run about $45.
Woof Gang Bakery also carries presents for your cats.
"People sometimes do oversee the cats because you sort of give a cat a treat and they look at you like, really, that's it? But dogs are obviously a lot more grateful," Hodgson said.
Hodgson said the typical customer spends about $40-$50 on gifts for pets.
