PALM BAY, Fla. – A seven-months pregnant woman with fresh "track marks," a term for needle holes or bruises resulting from intravenous injections, was arrested in Brevard County, according to police.
At about 10 p.m. on Labor Day, records show a Palm Bay police officer spotted Alison Noel McCartie, 35, driving with a headlight out. The officer stopped the car on Olden Avenue, Local 6 News partner Florida Today reported.

McCartie said the Honda Civic she was driving was hers, although she didn't have proof of registration, police said.
When she handed over her ID, the officer noticed the marks on McCartie's arms, which police say are typically associated with illegal drug use.
The officer asked to search her car and she agreed, according to police, who said they found in her purse an uncapped needle with traces of liquid that later tested positive as "opium." McCartie said it was oxycodone and she didn't have a prescription, according to police.
There was also a small medicine bottle that the officer said smelled like pot and tested positive for cannabis residue, police said.
McCartie was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia.
