Sarasota man offered surgery to undercover agent

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – The Florida Department of health has issued a formal cease and desist warned to a man practicing medicine without a license.

Leonard Rubinstein was arrested for practicing medicine without a license after he treated and offered to schedule a surgery with an undercover agent in November.

On November 20 a City of Sarasota Police Officer and an Investigator with the Department of Health's Unlicensed Activity Office in St. Petersburg visited the "Center for Integration in Cosmetic Surgery, Rejuvenation Medicine, Allergy, Ears Nose and Throat, Skin Wellness".

Rubenstein was booked into the Sarasota county jail on $50,000 bond.
