According to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement, Jordanides is believed to have used the influence of his position to get the woman to send him nude photographs if he helped get her charges dropped.

It's not clear what the woman in custody was charged with.

Jordanides, who worked in the Criminal Investigations Division, was booked into the Osceola County Jail on $10,000 bond.

According to deputies, Jordanides was immediately removed from duty on Oct. 8, 2013, when FDLE notified OCSO about the criminal investigation. Jordanides, who was hired in 2004, resigned from the sheriff's office on Thursday and an internal investigation is underway.
