Winter Park celebrates Fourth of July

Event features music, food, dancing

WINTER PARK, Fla. – Hundreds showed up to the city of Winter Park's 19th annual Olde Fashioned Fourth of July Celebration at Central Park.

The event featured several performances, including the Orlando Cloggers, the Bach Festival Brass Band and Bach Festival Choir.

Elizabeth Rodriguez has attended the event with her family several years in a row and said its quickly becoming a tradition.

"It's good to get together for a fun, free event," she said.

The kid-friendly celebration offered hula-hooping, dancing and a lot of free food.

The city handed out free water, watermelon and 10,000 hot dogs to the crowd.

Laurie Kohs, 80, said the event is a good way to show off her dance moves.

"This is one of the places I can 'pop' and my husband doesn't say stop that," said Kohs.

The celebration also showcased 16 classic cars from the "Muscle Car Network," a classic car club in Central Florida.
