KISSIMMEE, Fla. – Just weeks before the new school year starts, leaders at the School District of Osceola County announced high school report cards for last school year are now ready for most students to pick up.
The announcement came Thursday morning.
"We appreciate your patience as the district has been working to correct the programming error with the high school report cards," read a statement on the district's website. "Parents and students from all schools except Zenith and Challenger may now go to your high school starting on Thursday, July 24, to pick up your report cards."
Students from Zenith and Challenger high schools are still waiting for their report cards.
The district says staff from both schools are working hard to validate grades in order to print their report cards as soon as possible.
Local 6 contacted University of Florida, University of Central Florida, University of South Florida and Florida State University today to see if they were giving Osceola County students any latitude when it came to sending in their transcripts for the upcoming semester.
None of the schools had heard about the problem at the Osceola school district and said they would need to address any problems with the individual students. They all said there would be no problem, since the delay was out of their control.
