The Lions led 14-0 in the first half, only to see their lead cut to 21-13 at halftime, thanks to Merritt Island quarterback Keegan Henderson's touchdown pass with :10 to play in the second quarter.

The Lions recaptured the momentum behind the steady play of quarterback Nick Carbone and tailback Jurell Green, who became Oviedo's career leader in rushing yards and touchdowns in the first half.

Green added to his record total, scoring a four-yard touchdown in the third quarter.

Minutes later, Carbone got into the end zone on a short quarterback keep.

Both plays helped put the game away as Oviedo improved to 5-0.
