Amanda Mandee Lopez arrested on 1st-degree murder charge
KISSIMMEE, Fla. – A 26-year-old Kissimmee woman was arrested early Monday on first-degree murder charges in the stabbing death of her ex-boyfriend.
Amanda Mandee Lopez was arrested in Orlando after Larry Lee Fryar, 57, died from injuries suffered in a stabbing, Kissimmee police said.
According to police, around 2 a.m., Kissimmee officers were called to Lake Tivoli Boulevard about a man needing medical attention. Police said Fryar had life-threatening injuries and was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
An investigation identified Lopez as a person of interest, said police, who said she was located at a bus station in Orlando attempting to travel to New York.
Lopez was detained by the Orlando Police Department before being taken to the Kissimmee Police Department for questioning, police said.
Officials said she cooperated with the investigation and was booked into the Orange County Jail on no bond.
