Orlando police release surveillance of gunman in Publix shooting

Teen shot in neck after fight in bakery aisle

ORLANDO, Fla. – Orlando police released pictures of the gunman sought in a shooting at a Publix last week.

Police say there was a fight on Dec. 26 between several teens at the bakery area inside the Publix on South John Young Parkway that escalated into gunshots.

After a struggle between the 18-year-old victim and the gunman, a gun discharged, striking the victim in his neck and causing him to fall to the floor.

Police said the teen  was shot and was taken to a hospital in stable condition.

The suspect was described by police as a black male in his late 20s, 5 feet 11 inches to 6 feet 2 inches tall and 190 pounds, wearing a beige T-shirt with camouflage black and white shorts.

Police said the man's known associate was described as a black male in his 20s, wearing a black and white sweatshirt and approximately 180 pounds.
