Navy dad meets son for first time at Orlando International Airport

Family to spend 2 weeks at Disney

ORLANDO, Fla. – A military dad says he feels like he won the Super Bowl after meeting his son for the first time.

Local 6 was there when Navy Lt. j.g. Jason Walther arrived Sunday at the Orlando International Airport.

Walther was stationed in Africa for the past six months and wasn't home in October when his wife gave birth to their first son, Jack.

"It's been really hard without him, so it's really great to see him and have him see his son," said Walther's wife, Anne. "It's a blessing."

The couple already had two little girls. The family is spending the next two weeks at Disney World and then Walther will head back to Africa for another six months.

The Walthers live in North Carolina.
