State Road A1A reopens in Brevard after fire hydrant struck in crash No description found
INDIALANTIC, Fla. – Authorities on Thursday shut down State Road A1A in Indialantic after a truck struck a fire hydrant that flooded the roadway, according to police.

No one was injured in the crash, which occurred around 12:30 p.m. Authorities said a yellow truck, possibly a Penske, hit the hydrant and drove off.
Traffic was rerouted at 5th and 7th Avenues before the roadway was cleared. As of 3 p.m., the entrance to 6th Avenue at A1A remained closed.
Work crews and police sloshed through ankle-deep water as others redirected traffic during the incident.
