Undercover detective's vehicle burglarized, Lake County deputies say

Detective discovers firearm, stun gun, radio, handcuffs missing

EUSTIS, Fla. – Deputies are investigating after an undercover detective's assigned vehicle was burglarized, according to the Lake County Sheriff's Office.

The detective filed the report Tuesday after discovering his tactical gear was missing from his vehicle at his home in Eustis, deputies said.

The Sheriff's Office said the items stolen include a .45 caliber Kimber handgun, a Taser, a Motorola portable radio, and a pair of Smith and Wesson handcuffs.

There is no evidence or any witnesses to the incident, deputies said.

Detectives are asking anyone with information regarding this incident to call the Sheriff's Office or Central Florida CRIMELINE at 800-423-TIPS, where tipsters can be eligible for a cash reward.
