Controversial 'Jesus the Homeless' statue comes to Orlando

Dedication of the statue set for May 20

ORLANDO, Fla. – A local church is bring a controversial "Jesus the Homeless" statue to Orlando.

First Presbyterian Church first announced plans to bring the statue in January.

The statue shows a man with the feet of Jesus covered in a blanket on a park bench.

Many say the statue misrepresents their view of Jesus while others say it'll have a profound impact on people.

The dedication of the bronze statue is set for 10 a.m. on May 20 outside the church on Jackson St. and Rosalind Ave.
