DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Volusia County deputies are investigating a suspected rape on a beach early Monday morning.
Deputies say the 18-year-old Deltona woman woke up early Monday morning on a beach near Main Street in Daytona Beach to a man sexually assaulting her.

According to deputies, the woman said she was out drinking with a friend and doesn't remember how she got on the beach.
The woman was taken to the hospital, and no suspect information has been released.
