Deputies said Michael McCoy, 20, was struck in the head and leg. His injuries were not believed to be life-threatening, and he was taken to Halifax Health Medical Center in Daytona Beach and released.
Two people from the home initially attempted to take McCoy to the hospital themselves, but ultimately stopped for help at the Americano Beach Lodge in Daytona Beach, deputies said.
