Man accused of stealing BMW, 60 sets of keys from Florida auto dealer

BSO: Nicholas Jackson tried to buy $60,000 BMW with credit card, EBT card

POMPANO BEACH, Fla. – A man was arrested Monday morning after a BMW SUV that he stole from a Pompano Beach auto dealership ran out of gas in Palm City, Broward sheriff's deputies said.

According to deputies, Nicholas Jackson initially tried to buy the $60,000 BMW at the dealership with a credit card and an EBT card.

After employees refused the sale, Jackson returned the next night and stole the BMW and keys to 60 other vehicles, deputies said.

Martin County sheriff's deputies said Jackson was found Monday morning at the intersection of Southwest Baneberry Trail and High Meadow Avenue after the SUV ran out of gas.

Jackson was arrested on a grand theft auto charge and taken to the Martin County Jail. He is being held on a $20,000 bond.
