KISSIMMEE, Fla. – A woman and her boyfriend were arrested on child neglect charges after deputies said they left two children alone in a motel room, according to the Osceola County Sheriff's Office.
An employee at Budgetel Inn & Suites in Kissimmee called police around 9 p.m. Tuesday to tell them a 5-year-old and 6-year-old child were alone in the room and that it wasn't the first time that had happened.
Deputies found the room in a state of disarray with limited food available, according to a news release. The children told them their mother, Dobbzianne Douett, had gone to the store with her boyfriend, Rosandre Barrett.
Douett and Barrett were arrested and charged with child neglect when they returned to the motel about an hour later.
