San Pedro development approved in Seminole County

Development will bring 500 homes to Casselberry, Winter Springs

CASSELBERRY, Fla. – It was a big win for developers in Seminole County when the county commission voted to approve a new development that will bring 700 new homes to the area.

County commissioners on Tuesday voted to approve the proposal to develop an empty plot of land west of Dike Road and north of Howell Branch Road in Casselberry and Winter Springs.

The Diocese of Orlando owned most of it, but earlier this year it sold about 200 acres to Jen Partners.

The plan would build more than 500 homes, 200 town homes, an assisted living facility and retail stores on a portion of the San Pedro land.
