Surveillance video catches man breaking into Orlando home

ORLANDO, Fla. – A man was recorded on surveillance video shattering a sliding glass door, breaking into an Orlando home and stealing a gun, the Orange County Sheriff's Office said.

A woman called police shortly before noon Tuesday when she saw a man pull up in a red Toyota Corolla and go into her neighbor's house, according to an incident report.

The homeowner's surveillance video shows the man shattering the glass door so he can enter the home at 11:43 a.m. He goes upstairs, out of the camera's view, then returns downstairs at 11:49 a.m. carrying a bag in each hand. He leaves through the shattered door at 11:51 a.m., video shows.

A deputy arrived at the home at 12:01 p.m.

A .45-caliber gun and a $100 watch were the only items stolen, according to the incident report.

Authorities are still looking for the man responsible.
