UPDATE: Missing woman, 79, found in good condition, deputies say

Marjorie Byron may be disoriented, officials say

VOLUSIA COUNTY, Fla. – A 79-year-old woman who was reported missing in the Orange City area was found Friday night, the Volusia County Sheriff’s Office said Friday night.

Marjorie Byron was found in good condition on the 1100 block of 10th Street, deputies said.

During the search for Byron, deputies believed she was traveling on foot. She vanished from a house in the 1200 block of 8th Street, deputies said.

Byron was last seen around 4:30 p.m., and she was noticed missing around 8:30 p.m.

Byron was last seen wearing a blue thermal shirt and red pants. She's been known to frequent Valentine Park and the trail near Blue Spring State Park used for jogging and biking, deputies said.

Byron has some memory issues, may have been disoriented and might not have been able to describe where she lives, deputies said in a news release.
