SANIBEL ISLAND, Fla. – The search is on for the family that owns a camera found on a Florida beach by a vacationing photographer
WBBH reports Josh Zuelke was hunting for shells on Sanibel Island when he noticed a camera that appeared to have been in the water for a long time.
Zuelke says the lens was broken and the camera had battery acid coming out of it.
After returning home to Illinois, Zuelke attempted to recover the photos on the camera's damaged memory card.
Incredibly, more than 160 photos were able to be recovered.
The pictures were all time-stamped and taken between July 7-8 in 2012. The photos appear to have been taken in the Florida Keys.
Zuelke posted the pictures with a plea for help in finding the owners on Facebook.
