OCALA, Fla. – A 61-year-old woman who confessed to burying her elderly father's body in 2016 is now being charged with stealing her father's Social Security benefits, federal documents said.
Melvin Kort, 94, was reported missing in July 2016.

Investigators said Susan Marie Kort told them that her father died of what appeared to be a stroke or heart attack four or five years ago.
"Kort then used a power of attorney for her father’s financial affairs to withdraw and spend the Social Security Administration (SSA) benefit payments that were being deposited into his bank account," authorities said.
The payments were suspended in December 2013, authorities said.
Kort confessed to deputies about where her father's body was buried and to defrauding the Social Security Administration, authorities said.
