ORLANDO, Fla – One of the top-ten wealthiest people in the world visited the University of Central Florida this week, and most people on campus didn't find out until the following day.

Billionaire philanthropist Bill Gates, wife Melinda, and members of the Gates Foundation visited Orlando's hometown university Wednesday to tour the campus and meet with students and faculty.

A video released by the school on Thursday showed the tech legend visiting classrooms, meeting with a number of student organizations, and hearing from faculty members how digital learning in education is affecting lives.

One of the groups Gates met with on Wednesday was students from Limbitless Solutions, a non-profit using additive manufacturing to find solutions for disabilities and advance personalized bionics at affordable costs. The group previously went viral when they 3D-printed a bionic "Iron-Man" limb and presented it to a child with the help of Robert Downey Jr.

Various tweets throughout Gates' visit showcased him meeting with other on-campus organizations like UCF's LEAD Scholars, an application-based leadership development group, and the 4EVERKnights group, a student advancement and philanthropy organization.

Gates has expressed praise for the university in the past, identifying it specifically in 2010 as a leader in "bringing education to a broader audience via the use of online videos."
