Erric Pipkin charged with killing Santo Clourido Rodriguez

CASSELBERRY, Fla. – An arrested was made Wednesday in the shooting death of an Ocoee man in a Casselberry shopping plaza in May, police said.

Casselberry police said Santo Clourido Rodriguez, 21, of Ocoee, died in the May 10  shooting, which was reported just before 11 p.m. at the Market Square strip mall at the corner of State Road 436 and Howell Branch Road.

Rodriguez was shot and crashed his car in the shopping plaza, police said.

Surveillance video showed a white Chrysler 300 in the shopping center parking lot.

Police said Pipkin parked between a 7-Eleven convenience store and another store to wait for Rodriquez. The two men got into a dispute after Rodriquez arrived.

Rodriguez died of his injuries after the shooting.

Pipkin, who was already incarcerated in the Seminole County jail, was charged with homicide.
