ORLANDO, Fla. – A Dollar Tree employee was arrested Wednesday for recording a woman while she was using the bathroom in the store, authorities said.
The victim told police that she asked the employee, Aaron Krone, 29, if she could use the bathroom at the store on Narcoossee Road.
Krone directed the woman to the front of the store to get the key to the bathroom, but she declined.
He told her to hold on. She waited and then walked to the back of the store, police said. The woman then walked toward the front of the store, where Krone told her that he needed to get toilet paper.
Krone walked her back to the bathroom and told her to leave the key by the door for other customers, police said.
The victim used the bathroom, and when she got up, she saw a phone in a box directly in front of the toilet that was recording her, according to the police report.
The victim took the phone to the front of the store and asked for the manager. She told the manager what happened and then called 911.
The victim played back the video from the phone, which showed a man, matching the description of Krone, bending over and looking at the box in the bathroom, trying to check the camera angle, according to the report.
Police said the video also showed the woman pulling down her jeans to go to the bathroom. When the woman finished using the bathroom, she discovered that the phone was recording her and then grabbed the phone to stop the video.
Police made contact with Krone to talk to him about the incident.
When he was asked if he knew why police wanted to speak with him, Krone said, “He did a terrible thing,” according to the report.

“We are aware of the situation and are cooperating fully with local law enforcement to provide any information useful to their investigation. We are unable to share any additional details at this time," Randy Guiler, of Dollar Tree Inc., said.
Krone admitted to recording the victim and creating holes in a box through which to film, police said.
Krone is charged with video voyeurism on a person 19 year of age or older.
He was booked into the Orange County jail and ordered held on a $1,000 bond.
