DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – A Volusia County woman has been charged with child neglect after deputies say she allowed a 2-year-old girl to crawl on the roof of two-story home.
Deputies said Erica Hess, 24, wasn't supervising the toddler when she climbed out onto the deck, which connects to the roof, and walked along the roof.

A witness called 911 to report the incident. Hess was home at the time of the incident, deputies said.
No one was injured, deputies said.
The Department of Children and Families is investigating and the toddler has been put with relatives.
