ORLANDO, Fla. – Scammers are back at it again. This time, they are posing as employees of Florida Power & Light.
Callers are hitting central Florida businesses and residents claiming that there is an outstanding balance on their account and that it needs to be paid off at once.

Scammers then have the individuals purchase a prepaid credit card and have them provide the numbers of the credit card to settle the balance.
If anyone contacts you and requests a prepaid card as payment, it is a scam.
