SEMINOLE COUNTY, Fla. – Seminole High School was put on a code yellow Tuesday afternoon after a student called in a hoax threat, according to Seminole County Public Schools officials.
The code yellow, which requires that students remain in classrooms until the campus is deemed safe, lasted from about 1:15 p.m. to 2:15 p.m.

Sanford Police Department officials said they received a 911 call from someone saying there may be weapons on campus. That call was traced to a student who has had previous disciplinary issues, a spokesperson said.
In a message sent to parents, Principal Connie Collins said the threat was determined to be a hoax and the student responsible had been apprehended.
"Sanford Police and Seminole County Sheriffs responded and checked each building to ensure our safety. We are all fine," Collins said. "Please know that your child's safety is always our first priority."
