Orange County launches annual toy drive for children in need

Donations will be accepted through Dec. 13

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – Orange County Mayor Jerry Demings announced the start of the 2021 Orange County Mayor’s toy drive.

According to a release, the toy drive provides children 18 and under gifts for the holiday season.

Toys can be donated both online and in person.

The online option allows donors to buy items through the toy drive website, and have them shipped directly to the county’s holiday warehouse.

Toys can be dropped off in person at one of 21 locations across Orange County, including fire stations.

The last day to donate toys online is Monday, Dec. 6. The last day to donate in person is Monday, Dec. 13.

According to a release, the county will not be accepting cash, gift cards or stuffed toys as donations.

Recommended toys include:

  • Books
  • Sports equipment
  • Toy cars
  • Craft kits
  • Dolls
  • Board games

Over the last 11 years, the annual toy drive has collected over 56,000 toys for children around Orange County.
