Brevard deputy crashes, flips marked patrol vehicle while responding to call, video shows

Incident occurred Thursday afternoon

BREVARD COUNTY, Fla. – A Brevard County deputy was transported to the hospital Thursday afternoon after crashing and flipping a marked patrol vehicle while responding to an emergency call, the sheriff’s office said.

The incident occurred at the intersection of State Road 520 and Courtenay Parkway in Merritt Island, according to footage.

Another picture shows multiple law enforcement officers responding to the intersection with flashing lights. The patrol car in question can be seen on its side with its siren and lights going.

The Brevard County Sheriff’s Office said the deputy was taken to the hospital but is not seriously injured.
