Prosecutors claimed he hit a Capitol police officer with his skateboard during the attack on the Capitol.

On Thursday, he agreed to a plea deal, entering a guilty plea to two counts -- assaulting an officer and disorderly conduct inside the U.S. Capitol.

Owens faces a maximum sentence of eight-and-a-half years in prison and a $250,000 fine, although prosecutors are estimating a range of imprisonment of 37 to 46 months.

He will be sentenced in February.

Owens is one of 35 Central Florida residents arrested and charged for their involvement in the attack on the U.S. Capitol.
