Police investigate fatal shooting on Tucker Street

DAYTONA BEACH, Fal. – A 20-year-old man killed late Monday in a drive-by shooting in Daytona Beach, police said.

The fatal shooting was reported around 11:45 p.m. on Tucker Street, between North Nova Road and U.S. 1.

Daytona Beach police said officers were called to the scene and found a man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds in a driveway.

According to police, officers were told a vehicle drove by and someone fired several shots at the man and the home.

The man, identified by police as Travis Hubbert Jr., was taken to Halifax Medical Center in Daytona Beach, where he was later pronounced dead, police said.

The motive in the shooting is not known.

No other details, including a description of the vehicle or suspected shooter, have been released.

“We are asking anyone who may have witnessed this or may have information to contact Detective Joey Roces at 386-671-5246,” police said.
