2 men, teen walk into Daytona Beach hospital suffering from ‘several gunshot wounds’

Police investigate shooting on Dr. Mary McLeod Bethune Boulevard

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Two men and a teen who were shot late Thursday in Daytona Beach walked into a hospital and had “several gunshot wounds,” police said.

The shooting happened around 10:40 p.m. near Dr. Mary McLeod Bethune Boulevard and Adams Street.

Daytona Beach police said officers were called to Halifax Health Medical Center when security notified them that three patients suffering from gunshot wounds walked into the hospital.

The shooting victims, two men and a boy -- ages 35, 24 and 17 -- suffered non-life-threatening injuries and were in stable condition, police said.

“We do not believe there is any further danger to the community regarding this incident,” police said in a news release.

An investigation is ongoing.
